Our Lynnhaven studio is located directly across from King's Grant Elementary School in a brick building with a white Music in Motion sign out front.
Parking at Lynnhaven
Parking is available:
- In the front parking lot
- On the grass beside the bushes on the right side of the property
- In the side lot adjacent to Alberthas Drive
- Across the street at Kings Grant Elementary School
- After 5:00 PM: Additional parking is available at Merna Law Offices, located off Alberthas Drive immediately to the left of the MIM property.
Please Follow the One-Way Traffic Flow
Our parking lot can get busy during class transitions.
For everyone's safety and to keep traffic moving:
- Traffic flows counterclockwise.
- Enter the MIM property using the driveway near the mailbox on North Lynnhaven Road.
- Follow the flow of traffic around the parking lot.
- Exit onto Alberthas Drive using the driveway on the side of the property.
Please avoid backing up onto N. Lynnhaven Road while waiting to enter the parking lot.
During busy arrival and dismissal times, please be patient and watch carefully for vehicles backing out of parking spaces.
Please Drive Carefully on Alberthas Drive
Alberthas Drive is a residential neighborhood street. Our neighbors may be arriving home, walking their dogs, riding bikes, or walking along the street.
Please drive slowly, watch carefully for pedestrians, and be courteous to our neighbors when entering and leaving MIM.
Entering & Exiting the Studio
Families should enter the studio through our main front entrance.
Some classes may dismiss through our side door facing Alberthas Drive. Your dancer's teacher will let you know if their class uses this dismissal procedure.
Boulevard Studio
3750-G Virginia Beach Blvd.

Important: Our Boulevard Studio Is Behind Birchwood Shopping Center!
The street address can be a little misleading the first time you visit.
Entering 3750-G Virginia Beach Blvd. into GPS may bring you to the front of Birchwood Shopping Center, where you'll find BJ's, Dollar Tree, Food Lion, and other businesses.
Music in Motion is located on the BACK side of the shopping center, facing Lampl Avenue.
Give yourself a few extra minutes on your first visit—you haven't missed us!
Option 1: From Virginia Beach Boulevard
If you're approaching from either direction on Virginia Beach Boulevard, you can enter Birchwood Shopping Center from the front.
Once you're in the shopping center:
- Drive through the parking lot toward Dollar Tree.
- Continue toward the left side of the shopping center.
- Drive around the left end of the building.
- Continue around to the rear parking lot.
- You'll find Music in Motion on the back side of the shopping center.
Option 2: Rosemont Road → Lampl Avenue
Another easy option from Virginia Beach Boulevard is to:
- Turn north onto Rosemont Road near Burger King.
- Follow the road as it loops around into Lampl Avenue.
- Follow Lampl Avenue to the back of Birchwood Shopping Center.
- Enter the rear parking area to access Music in Motion.
This route brings you directly to the side of the shopping center where our studio is located.
Option 3: From Little Neck / King's Grant Neighborhoods
Coming from the Little Neck or King's Grant neighborhoods? You can avoid Virginia Beach Boulevard altogether:
- Take Edinburgh Drive.
- After passing Malibu Elementary School, turn left onto Catalina Drive.
- Turn right onto Lampl Avenue.
- Follow Lampl Avenue to the back of Birchwood Shopping Center.
- Enter the rear parking area for Music in Motion.
Parking at Boulevard
The easiest option is to park in the rear lot directly outside the Boulevard studio.
You can also park in the front parking lot of Birchwood Shopping Center.
If you park in front, look for the breezeway immediately to the left of BJ's. Walk through the breezeway to reach the back side of the shopping center and Music in Motion.

Always check your dancer's enrollment in Sawyer before leaving for class.
Your Sawyer account shows your dancer's:
- Class name
- Day and time
- Studio location
- Current enrollment
- Upcoming schedule and calendar
Want to Watch Class?
Once your dancer is settled into class, you don't have to stay in the studio to keep an eye on the fun!
Currently enrolled MIM families have complimentary access to SpotTV, our secure classroom livestreaming system.
Watch from your phone while you're in the car, running an errand, or relaxing at home.
