Download the SpotTV Family App
Start by downloading the SpotTV Family app:
iPhone/iPad: Download SpotTV Family from the Apple App Store
Android: Download SpotTV Family from Google Play
Once you've downloaded the app, follow the steps below to request access.
How to Set Up Your SpotTV Account
- Open the SpotTV Family app.
- From the home screen, select New Here / Sign Up.
- Select Parent or Relative.
- Enter your first and last name.
- Enter the number of enrolled children you would like connected to your account and select Next.
- Enter your email address.
- When asked to select an Activity Center, search for and select Music in Motion Dance Center.
- Enter your dancer's name.
- Create your username and password.
- Search for and select your dancer's current class times. We organize class sections by "Morning" 9 am to 2 pm and "Afternoon" 4 pm to 8:30 pm as well as Location. So a dancer in Monday 4:30 class at Lynnhaven will choose "Monday Afternoon Lynnhaven" and a dancer in Wednesday 10 am at Boulevard will choose "Wednesday Morning Boulevard"
- Select Done to submit your request.
- Follow the remaining prompts to complete your account setup.
Then, we'll approve your access!
For dancer safety and privacy, SpotTV accounts are not automatically activated.
Your account will remain pending until the Music in Motion team verifies your dancer's enrollment and approves access to the appropriate class(es). We are NOT able to approve SpotTV access DURING classes, so make sure you put in your requests ahead of time!
Watching Your Dancer's Class
Once your account has been approved:
Open the SpotTV Family app and log in during your dancer's regularly scheduled class time.
The first time you access the livestream, you may be prompted to create a PIN and accept SpotTV's viewing terms.
Your classroom livestream will only be available during the scheduled module time. If you log in before classes begin, you may not see the classroom feed yet, or, another class.
Then sit back and enjoy a peek into dance class!
A Few Important SpotTV Rules
SpotTV is designed to give our families convenient access while protecting the privacy of every dancer in the classroom.
Please remember:
- SpotTV access is for approved Music in Motion families only.
- Access is limited to your dancer's approved class(es).
- Livestream access is available only during scheduled class times.
- Please do not share your login information with others.
- Screenshots and screen recordings are not permitted.
- SpotTV may automatically suspend or place an account on hold if the system detects a screenshot or other prohibited activity.
- Access may be removed if an account is shared or used inappropriately.
These safeguards allow us to offer livestream access while respecting the privacy of every MIM family.
Can't Find Your Class?
First, double-check your dancer's current enrollment in Sawyer to confirm the exact class name, day, time, and location.
If your dancer recently changed classes, added a class, or you selected the wrong class during setup, your SpotTV access may need to be updated.
